Joe Saunders was nominated to play the last frame after losing to T Taylor in the previous one. He obviously plays better after a warm up because he won very convincingly.

The Con Club stormed into a two frame lead, with Andy Williams taking the first frame 73-34 against the in form Martin Moors. Darren Burbidge proved to strong for Tony Swinden on the night winning 76-35. The match changed in the doubles, with a break of 30 from Martin Moors seeing them through to an easy win. Wanderers then took the last two singles to give them their 4th consecutive win.
Cranfield finally showed some of the form of last season as they beat the Bloobies 10-0 in a convincing victory which should boost their confidence after a poor start to the season without a win before tonight.
A very close match with 4 frames being decided on the black. In the 1st frame, Chris Roberts for the Con Club was behind all the way but took the last 4 colours and then pinched the frame on a respotted black. Jedi levelled in the second frame. then in a nip & tuck doubles Ray Pendlington who previously had not potted a ball, cooly took a difficult black to win the frame for the Con Club. They also took the next frame on the black to win the match, but in the last frame it was the Knights turn to win on the black and a final score of 6-4.
MKSC Wanderers are in second place but made hard work of beating Cranfield A they lost the first two frames by a mile, they then scraped through the doubles 52-40. Then captain Martin Moors showing true form won his frame 55-23 and Neil Walton sealed the win taking the last frame 63-24.
In a top of the table clash Jedi Knights easily beat the Pury Potters
8-2 to move clear at the top by 2 points, the first two frames were shared Dean Mulchany taking the 1st 40-7 for the Knights and Tony Curtis winning the 2nd on the black
50-43. Knights then took the last three to win with ease.
